I kind of think Trump might one day suffer a fate closer to Ralph Nickleby, the rich usurer in Dickens’ novel “Nicholas Nickleby”. He spends the entire story using his money to hold sway over those in his power, basically acting like a total jerk, but in the end things start to unravel for him and after losing a huge chunk of his money, all the people who used to crawl to him for money and favors turn on him. All of his schemes go south and he ends up alone and reviled, and is ultimately driven to complete despair.
Someday Trump might find himself in a similar situation, if he loses the election and ends up bankrupt. If he’s out of power, the GOP and Putin won’t have any more use for him, and all the bad karma he’s earned might bite him in the butt the way it bit Ralph Nickleby.
Well, that’s what I mean. Ed could probably get by with recognizing stop and yield signs by their shape but he wouldn’t be able to read street signs or emergency signs. How did he know where to go to pick up the kids if he couldn’t read the street signs? I don’t think it would be long before he got into deep trouble and fired.
Trump will be eligible for a state funeral. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. Once he’s gone the GOP won’t have to be afraid of him any more, and he’s becoming more and more toxic and embarrassing. His family might opt for a private funeral rather than have something big and have nobody show up.
I still don’t know why Tiffany puts up with this when her father has an entire mansion just sitting empty and unoccupied. She and Bets and Dez could live there and not have to put up with Stef any more.
Also not sure why her father is OK with paying huge property taxes and upkeep for what’s more or less an abandoned house.
So the characters can’t say “Oh my God” but we can have overt references to them having sex, including Stef making noises while she’s messing around with Kip (or whatever she’s doing). OK.
