I had an LG Fortune for years, but at one point the apps updated and I couldn’t use them on my phone anymore. Finally got a new phone last year. Will use it til things quit working again.
“Back in the day”, when video games were in an arcade, or a gas station, or restaurant, my brothers and I would take our allowance down to a certain gas station and play Gauntlet. When Christmas rolled around, we convinced our parents it would be cheaper in the long run to buy us a Nintendo and the game Gauntlet, plus they would then know where we were spending our time at. In the living room at the tv, not at the gas station.
It is a very personal decision. Whoever you vote for, you have people on the other side who ridicule you for your decision. Is it better to remain quiet or to let it out? I have a friend who tried to convince me why I should vote his way, and I countered with why I couldn’t. He kept trying to the point of me being tired of it. I finally told him “Let’s agree to disagree, but try to remain friends”…
I worked at a family restaurant for 30 years. One of the best days was when Eddie Rabbit showed up in his bus. We also had news anchors from the local tv show come to eat, and local politicians eat there. During Tulip Time, we used to get a lot of tourist busses, but that has dwindled over the years because some churches figured out there was money to be made by offering meals, and competitive restaurants have come in while Holland has grown.
I always like Terry Pratchett’s thoughts on that in his Discworld Series. Before the Big Bang, some believe they heard, “And a 1, and a 2”….and then the music of the universe started…
